Why Copier Meter Readings Matter
Whether you work in healthcare, education or operations, it can be a headache to stay on top of copier meter readings. It's one of those minor tasks that nobody wants to do, but that everyone has to.
Does your copier meter reading charges vary each month? Are you getting multiple invoices from multiple vendors? Are you able to decode the jargon on your invoice without pulling your hair out?
Did you know that the only sure way to verify the accurate amount of your monthly meter reading invoices, is to pull the contract for each machine, from each vendor? Who has time to do that?
If your copier meter reading is not received in time, it’s likely that your copier service provider will generate an estimate meter reading invoice. That means that you’ll be charged on an estimate, rather than for your actual copier usage.
It's All About Estimation
Think of it as paying a utility bill – it usually will result in one of two situations:
Your Estimate Is Too Low
Sounds great right? Wrong. While you may be billed for a lower amount now, next time accurate meter readings are collected you can incur overage charges all at once. That’s a hefty invoice to pay.
Your Estimate Is Too High
In this case, you’re not only paying for more pages that you’re actually printing or copying, but it can also result in overage charges that wouldn’t normally be incurred.
Think you’re alone? Guess again!
